Peavey USA V Type Electric Guitar

Based on the Adrian Vandenberg model that Peavey produced during the 80’s, the 2002-2004 USA made V-Type was not an exact reissue of the original but more of a re-introduction of the design.  The wide, thin neck of the original became a wide and slightly chunky shape (as compared to the thin neck on the originals).  The USA models are completely different from the imported neck-though models that the company produced around the same time.  The imported neck through models are a bit flashier in appearance with gloss finish and inlays around the body and they are great guitars in their own right.  There was also a bolt neck model more like the US model.  These imports all bear “EXP” on the headstock to designate they are the import varieties.  The American model came fitted with a humbucking pickup at the bridge position and a dual blade single coil sized pickup near the middle position, and they had a Peavey Floyd Rose licensed tremolo bridge. The ebony fretboard had no markers other than the mud flap girl inlay on the twelfth fret.  The V-Type was available in four colors, satin black, pearl silver, satin tangerine, and topaz blue.  The satin black example shown below is from my shop and is upgraded with a Seymour Duncan Dimebucker pickup and a genuine German made Floyd Rose tremolo.  See it here on eBay.
